Questions about your home’s supply and return ducts?
Visible debris blowing from the registers, signs of pests in the ductwork, or dust and debris left behind by renovation work.
We accept air duct cleaning requests in selected areas. Send your ZIP code and we confirm whether a contractor is available.
What to discuss with your contractor
Ask which of these items are included in your written quote. The final scope depends on your property and the contractor you choose.
- Which supply and return ducts and registers are covered
- How the ducts are cleaned and how your home is protected during the work
- Photos of what was found and what was cleaned
- Whether the blower, coil or other equipment is included or quoted separately
A clear scope. A clear price.
Property size, access and the condition of your system affect the cost. Ask your contractor to explain the work and confirm pricing before starting. Any additional work should be discussed and approved by you.
Make your first conversation useful.
Describe what you have noticed, any recent renovation work and how many heating or cooling systems your home has, if you know. Ask the contractor whether cleaning is worthwhile before choosing a package.
What can affect your quote?
- Number of HVAC systems and ducts included
- Access to the ductwork and equipment
- What the contractor finds when they look
- Whether equipment cleaning or other work is quoted separately
A free request is not a fixed-price service offer. Ask about visit charges, exclusions and the total price before agreeing to an appointment.

Is air duct cleaning the same as dryer vent cleaning?
No. Air duct cleaning covers the ducts connected to your heating and cooling system. Dryer vent cleaning covers the separate exhaust from your clothes dryer to the outside. Choose the service you need, or describe both to the contractor.
Does a duct cleaning quote include the whole HVAC system?
Do not assume it does. Ask which supply ducts, return ducts, registers and equipment are included, how many systems are covered, and whether coils, blower cleaning or treatments cost extra.
Will duct cleaning help with allergies or health problems?
We cannot tell you that, and neither can the EPA: it says duct cleaning has not been shown to prevent health problems. If you have health concerns, talk to a medical professional. A contractor can tell you what is in your ducts, not what it means for your health.
Does the free quote request include free cleaning?
No. Sending a request through Airway is free. The independent contractor confirms any visit charge, assessment charge and cleaning price with you before you book, and you do not have to accept the quote.
Airway connects you with independent contractors. Your request is free; scheduling, qualifications and service pricing are confirmed with the contractor.
